History of thermal imaging

After the discovery of infrared radiation by William Herschel in 1800 and the discovery of the thermoelectric effect by Thomas Johann Seebeck in 1821, the researchers tried to measure the long-wave radiation with thermocouples. In particular, the military expressed interest in this invisible heat radiation. After World War II forces mainly invested a lot of money to research this area. In the last third of the twentieth century it has seen great progress in the development of infrared detectors. They were constructed gracefully thermal imager for measuring infrared radiation. Using the new systems has increased the possibilities of using thermal imaging horizon beyond the military sphere. Over time thermal imaging aroused interest in the civil world. Its use is really wide. Use will find in building thermography, electrical engineering, environment, construction, and medicine.

Detailed thermal imaging use, in practice can be found on our web site, is really wide. Thermal imaging is increasingly used in all disciplines.
